13-year-old Cody just wanted to honor his grandpa

Denair, California, middle school student Cody Alicea enjoyed flying a small American flag on his bicycle, but
just before Veterans Day 2010 was told by school officials to take it off - since they were worried that somebody might be offended by Old Glory.
The seventh grader took down his flag, but he wasn't happy about it. He wanted to honor his grandpa, a U.S. military vet.
